Came highly recommended from friends. Large attraction it was dog friendly and we were not disappointed, they were excellent with our dog. Good selection of beers, lagers and cider served very well. The famous Cri pie lives up to expectations and is a meal in itself. Overall a great experience and I will recommend to my friends.

Visited with friends who had been before and had enjoyed it. We had the deal for a bacon roll with either a tea or coffee for £ 3.50. Great value. You get a choice of types of coffee and teas. The bacon roll is lightly toasted and warm. The setup in the pub is great as it is dog friendly,... More

Came across this pub by accident. Was surprised at the number of vegetarian options - 3 main meals. Food portions were of a good size and reasonably priced. Taste of the food was okay, not brilliant, but not bad.

Dropped by the Criterion after a visit to St Andrews Golf Course. A typical traditional pub offering great pub grub and a comprehensive selection of drinks. They're especially known for their pies apparently. We both had the steak and ale pie, which was very generous in terms of size. The pie was filled with a huge portion of steak in... More

Stopped here for dinner before going on the Ghost tour - we ended up here because there was an offer to get money off if you were booked on the Ghost tour. Had a pie each, which were delicious and quick service. A meal in a bowl!

A friendly proper pub with some decent pub grub. Slightly over priced for ales. Music can be entertaining.

We had a wonderful mid day stop here. The steak and ale pie was delicious, and the chicken curry was quite good too. Friendly, fast service- plenty of seating.
