The setting is a converted farmhouse. The decor is sparse but very tasteful. The service was excellent. The food was superb. It was beautifully presented and quite delicious. We got bread to start with and could have had more of we had wanted. We had...an amuse bouche to start with and also between 2 of the courses which was a pleasant surprise. The wine list was not extensive but I rather liked that as you can feel intimidated by a long list with fancy explanations of the different wines. The wine we chose was not expensive by restaurant standards, but was perfectly fine and suited the food well. It was altogether a delightful experience and one I am keen to repeat.More
The setting, the staff, the owners, the meals….all
create an experience to remember and to bring you back time and time again. This was our third year dining with them and was as memorable as our first time.
Actually so busy enjoying that we failed...to photograph our meals and the little surprises between courses.
Worth the short ride out of St Andrews to experience!More
of 9 day golf trip this was a highlight for dinner. Set in an old Scottish farm house about 15 minutes outside St. Andrews. The ambiance matched the food and service. Emma was wonderful as were all others. The blue cheese salad was exceptional as...was the beef entree. Wonderful across all levels!More
We discovered this beautiful restaurant when visiting St Andrews, earlier this summer. We enjoyed it so much that we returned again yesterday for lunch. The cuisine, wine choice, service, ambiance and location are all First Class. Independently, we opted to eat exactly the same courses...for our amazing lunch which is so reasonably priced for the quality of cooking on offer from Chef John. We thoroughly enjoyed the whipped blue cheese, beetroot & pear starter which we followed up with blade of beef for our mains. Simply outstanding dishes. The lunch menu has around 4 starter/main & dessert options to select as a preference. We thoroughly enjoyed a glass of delicious dry Prosecco to kick start our lunch whilst loving the bottle of French red to compliment our main lunch. Tes, coffe and homemade tablet rounded off another tremendous lunch at the outstanding Grange Inn. Thanks to all the team Front of House & Kitchen staff for providing us with another superb meal & memorable experience. Keep up the great work and we look forward to returning again very soon when back in St Andrews. Highly recommended.More
Came here last Sunday evening for dinner to celebrate my dad’s birthday. Meal as ever was absolutely faultless. Food was fantastic at very stage from the homemade bread to the utterly delightful pannacottas and everything in between. Such good value when all the additional courses...are added in. Service was superb - all in all a fantastic experienceMore
First visit to this quaint restaurant, we were seated in a wee room with two other tables, so not the ambiance we would normally expect, but due to restrictions it was fine. Nice lunch! Customer service was exceptional, they went above and beyond our expectations....I’m sure the lady in question will know what I’m talking about.More
This was our first visit here. Food and service were excellent. And at a reasonable price. You will not be disappointed giving the Grange Inn a try. Although a little out of the centre of St Andrews, there appeared to be a good supply of...taxi options.More
