For tourists looking for an Edinburgh institution to wine and dine in then look no further than this place. Beautiful interior with the understated class of a place that has been at the top of the pile in this area and will continue to be...More

Only ordered a sandwich , quite pricey but expected quality. The smoked salmon was good but the bread was dry and stale. I think you can judge a place on the quality of their sandwiches. Such a pity as the staff were lovely and the...More

I love visiting this bar but was totally shocked at the price of the drinks on a recent visit. It was £23 for two large Ardbeg whiskies!! We had a couple of large similar whiskies in other local bars and we'd paid around £13-£15. The...More

The first time we went, we ordered oysters, stkinks, gnocchi and haggis bon bons. The second time we went we ordered mussels -- two varieties, soup of the day, Scottish beef pie, and salads. Everything was absolutely delicious. You won't be disappointed.

Victorian era decor restaurant and bar right off Princes Street near Balmoral Hotel and Waverley train station. Very lively and crowded. Good food, good service, a fun place to see and be for dinner or drinks in Edinburgh.
