Food was great, service was terrible. Took ages to clear mains, then offered the dessert menu to be rudely told that I couldn't order the apply and cinnamon tart because it would take 15 mins to make and we only had the table for another...More

The food is incredible - however there was no formal welcome or warming customer service at all during our visit. We were sat down in a great seat. However, this was shortly clouded. In total our server spoke to us a maximum of five times...More

My (meat eater) boyfriend booked us in here for Valentine’s Day and we were both over the moon. The food was beautiful and the service we received was second to none. It was reasonably priced too, we had a wonderful time. Would definitely recommend and...More

I had dinner here this evening as a post-PhD celebration. The interior of the restaurant is lovely with russet coloured walls and low lights. Service is friendly and prompt, attentive but not overly so. This restaurant is vegetarian but caters very well for vegans with...More

Not been here for a few years because the menu tends not to vary too much and we'd been here three times before. This time there were a few new things on the menu and lots that we both wanted. I had a lovely tagliatelle...More

All the courses were fantastic and served very swiftly. The medilly of puddings was to die for. Looked so good we forgot to take a picture.

Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its

that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the
place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as
the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal
Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the

I went without a reservation but that was a Tuesday evening and there were only a couple of tables free, I would recommend booking.
