It's ages since we last ate at Restaurant Martin Wishart and I have absolutely no idea why it has taken us so long to return. However, on reading a promotion from 'Bookatable', the prospect of a complimentary glass of champagne with lunch immediately caught my...More

Superb lunch at Martin's restaurant. Food excellent, advice given on choice of wines to have. Some might find it pricey but well worth it t. Service would take a lot to beat. Nice friendly atmosphere . On public transport route so easy to get to.

Michelin Star dining at a fantastic price - there are lunchtime weekday deals available, and it is more than worth it. A champagne aperitif is followed by an excellently crafted amuse-bouche, with beetroot macaroon and other creations; starter of snowpeas or lobster ravioli; and mains...More

Having not been to Martin's for some time, we were delighted to have an a la carte menu, in which all the elements matched and were perfect, as was the service.

I was, admittedly, a little dressed down than I would normally like to be for a restaurant of this calibre. Regardless, the staff were warm, friendly, and treated me like family. I felt welcome from the moment I set foot in the restaurant. The ambiance...More

The award-winning Martin Wishart restaurant in Edinburgh 's port of Leith is a stunning fine dining experience not to be missed. The relaxed cream and mocha colour scheme, fresh flowers and flawless service provide the perfect backdrop for the exquisite food. Wishart – who has worked with super-chefs such as Marc Meneau, Albert Roux and Marco Pierre White during his high-profile career – has a dedicated team of eight chefs working overtime to create the restaurant's Michelin-starred modern Scottish menu. We love the lobster and smoked haddock souffle with soubise spinach; the partridge and foie gras with red cabbage and apple sauce; and the roast loin and civet of hare with apple, beetroot, salsafi and black pudding sauce.
