Small quiet restaurant in middle of Grass Market, Edinburgh just below the Castle. Very good value for flavoursome food to beat the band! Mussels in garlic butter were devine & lean steak with peppercorn sauce & chunky chips was a favourite of mine with strong...More

Well worth a visit if you're in Edinburgh but I'd book if you can as it can be busy. The food is excellent, especially the stews. They do a pre-theatre menu which looks excellent value. Good value for money and served with by people who...More

Looks deceptively small when you arrive but there are more tables downstairs. Fabulous waiters, quick service and great decor. French onion soup perfect for a cold afternoon in Edinburgh when there's winds of about 80kn an hour outside. Great meal deals, good selection of alcohols.

Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its

that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the
place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as
the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal
Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the
