Heard great things about this place for a while and finally got a chance to eat here on our most recent trip to Edinburgh. Great little space with attentive staff ...and the food? Out of this world.

Went to Dubh Prais for a special occasion - a dinner with my family for my graduation. The power was down due to problems with the provider. The staff handled the emergency extremely well and turned the venue in a nice and cozy candle-light restaurant....More

Really enjoyed the starters but I did think that the main courses were quite average. I had to return one of the dishes because it was over-salted.

Our meal was perfectly prepared with clearly high quality ingredients, elegantly presented, accompanied by an excellent wine and served courteously by friendly staff in pleasantly intimate surroundings. Couldn't really ask for more. A thoroughly enjoyable evening at a very reasonable price.

Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its

place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as
the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal
Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the
