We didn't eat here, but we did send others eating and it looked delicious. This is primarily a pub and has a great vibe. The selection of gins and whiskys is very impressive and well worth a visit.

When travelling I typically appreciate a little stop in the afternoon where I might grab a snack and a drink and this was the perfect spot to partake! After spending some time at the National Registry, we were cutting through the alley to get back...More

Went here with my family for a quite drink, we didn't even finish our drinks as the staff's attitude was so stuck up and we felt so unwelcome we left before we drunk our drinks.

Good quality food in lovely surroundings. Interesting interior. Good for a special occasion. Quite an intimate restaurant and also long bar to enjoy a drink before dining

We had a reunion here - recommended by one of my friends - and the atmosphere was brilliant. I particularly loved the depictions of various sports - on the walls - but was surprised to see that there wasn't a panel on golf!

Lovely, old fashion, very unique Scottish restaurant and bar. The inside of the place is like a walk back in time, very elegant looking bar area. I dropped in on a rainy Sunday afternoon and the place was doing a brisk business, is just enough...More

Gorgeous building inside, The Cafe Royal is a must for dinner. We sampled the haggis bon bons in whisky cream sauce along with the Cullen Skink (delicious) follwed by the most amazing King Scallops in thermidor sauce and the Monkfish fillet. Served by an extremely...More

This is a stunning place in West Register Street which is located at the top end of Princes St on the opposite side to the Balmoral Hotel. It’s been the location for filming historical dramas and films due to its authenticity. It’s a beautiful bar,...More

Ann, my review on lunch is on the Review page. It seemed in August to have very good food and staff, which has not always been the case in the ?40 years I have known it.
