Went here midweek for lunch. Excellent set menu items with daily specials. Opted for the vongole gnocchi which was a true delight, accompanied by the tomato salad. Very good service. Reasonably priced for the high-quality food. Woudl go back for sure.

Sent here by the hotel concierge and were delighted. We ordered multiple tapas and an entree. Excellent quality, taste and variety. The service was just right, good timing and attentiveness, helpful suggestions. The owner stopped by to chat and we really enjoyed visiting with him.

Having researched this place on TripAdvisor, I wasn't disappointed. I like Gin, and as previous contributors have already alluded to, the Sophia Loren cocktail is delicious. We all agreed that our starters and main course were very good. I didn't have a desert so can't...More

We purchased a Itison deal and was given a special menu. Food was nice. We had Aubergine and salame and carbonara for starters. Both chose seabass for main and shared a side of potatoes. Very nice and can't complain. However we had a look at...More

Suits and shopping bags rule the streets of New Town,

helps give it a swank and formal feel: it’s a planned

Contini George Street, Victor and Carina Contini’s flagship Italian restaurant, has relaunched with a brand new menu, décor and dining experience.

A new menu, with a focus on small plates that can be shared, has been introduced, as well as a refreshed wine list and cocktail selection inspired by classic Italian drinks.

The new Contini George Street menu features dishes such as Salame Calabrese with roasted aubergine, mint, crème fraiche and pistachio crumb; cod poached in cold pressed olive oil with fennel, samphire and chili; and a raw cauliflower, porcini and lemon oil salad with breadcrumbs and Venetian spiced walnuts.

Meanwhile, “old favourites” like Contini’s classic Contadino can still be enjoyed, but in smaller, lighter portions.

The wine list offers a choice of over 55 Italian wines by the glass and bottle
