Location and contact

Social Bite Ltd is a chain of high street sandwich shops with a very successful corporate catering business. More importantly, we are also a social business, meaning that 100% of all of our profits are donated to good causes. We use our cafes to distribute over 100,000 items of food and hot drinks to the homeless every year. One in four members of our staff are formerly homeless people; we offer supported volunteering and employment opportunities to vulnerable and homeless members of society so that they can gain real work experience and build skills in a commercial setting, whilst at the same time receiving support to address barriers that are holding them back. Social Bite prepares hand made food every day, using fresh, healthy and local produce. Our food is competitively priced, offering outstanding value for money.

Stopped by for a light lunch. Delicious spiced carrot soup, good sandwich and salads. Great value and really nice and helpful stuff, advising on gluten free items. This will be a regular stop.

Came here after my partner spotted it while walking past, we were fancying something light as we had a reservation booked at a steak place for an evening meal. The locally sourced ingredients and soup advertised, made us stop. I admit I originally discarded the...More

Wow. There’s nothing I don’t like about this place. I read about it last week and walked the 1/2 mile from Edinburgh’s Waverley station this morning to spend my breakfast and coffee pennies here. Love what they are doing to support homeless people in Scotland....More

This cafe provides excellent food and a very reasonable cost while supporting a vital cause. The salads and hot food are brilliant and the staff provide friendly helpful service. If I worked in nearby I'd be in for lunch everyday.

Delicious food (wraps/ salads/ sandwiches/ soup and lots more). As good as any high street chain and better. Plus - your eating there helps stop homelessness in Scotland. What’s not to like.
