My wife and I visited this restaurant for breakfast, the staff were very friendly and efficient and the over all atmosphere was good but the star of the show was the food. There were lots of great options on the menu so much so that...More

Would love to review the food, however after encountering the rudest person ever at the door, we did not eat here. When my husband and I entered with our 2 boys (10 and12) we were looked up and down and told she probably had no...More

Busy wee spot on Rose Street with lots of atmosphere!!! Only went in for a couple of drinks as we knew they served some nice special gins. It is a very popular spot on Rose Street which was full of Festival atmosphere. Visit this spot...More

Visited this place today after hearing some good reviews about it however sadly we don't rate it at all. To start the service was very slow- painfully slow. The food we ordered came out in three parts, I'd ordered peppercorn sauce to go with my...More

Actually a nice looking restaurant on a popular main thoroughfare. The ambiance was different and interesting and the service good. The Scottish full breakfast looks best as it came all together in its own iron frying pan. We have eggs florentine at £8.50 and a...More

In Edinburgh for Tattoo and Fringe. Dined twice in Rosehip. Very good food, staff, service and ambience. Definitely recommend and will dine again when next in Edinburgh

Staff are friendly and the place was busy, then it is the season of the fringe. Had the salads, both disappointing and mine covered in mustard dressing which wasn't described on the menu as I hate mustard. Over priced compared to other restaurants.

New Town
Suits and shopping bags rule the streets of New Town,
until after dark when strappy dresses come out to
play. This is the city’s central business district
with its smaller offices, clothes boutiques, and many
of the city’s flashiest restaurants and ritziest
clubs. The architecture along roads like George Street
helps give it a swank and formal feel: it’s a planned
Georgian development of regal townhouses, geometric

Description
The Rosehip offers a real genuineness in their friendly relaxed service, with a background of vintage decor, the clinking of antique crockery and chilled out tunes. A supremely fresh high quality of rotating specials and classic main meals, there is also the generous grill menu for those who need a more hearty feed. The head chef has a flare for finding fish and meat from the local suppliers which is evident in the tasting. Of a lunch time a quick bite can be found in the soup and sandwich menu for £6.50, And the restaurant is child friendly. The bar offers the biggest selection of whiskies in the New Town, an extensive wine & spirits list and a range of Scottish bottled and draught beers. It certainly is nice to see a quality central site independent of any of the chains which are so prevalent these days. Open for a hearty breakfast from 10am-12noon during weekends, the summer and festive season.
