O K coffee served in cardboard cups. Very busy people wanting your seat even before you'd finished your drink.

If I want to eat I will go to a restaurant, cafe, bakery etc... but never to Starbucks. I go to Starbucks for coffee only and by and large am never surprised as they are all pretty much the same. This store is pretty much like most others... but yes, it is in a busy spot in a very busy... More

Just another Starbucks with a horrible service. Another one is near. Test it and tell us if better cause that one does not deserve customers.

Gordon ramsay would be sick if he at the sausage bap i just ate, they should rename it the "chernobyl roll" although the flies buzzing about along with the heavily tattooed and pierced baristas give it a mad max vibe i was going for, my table was not cleared also

I always look for a Starbucks when I get homesick I always feel at home because of the familiarity of the drinks, food, and decor. The baristas were very welcoming, charming, and friendly, unlike some of the American workers I've encountered on my travels.

Upstairs is a good place to meet a friend and chat as its a little protected from the front of house frantic activity. Cannot imagine the staff face many friendly faces as everyone is in a rush. However everyone responds to being acknowledged. I would return.

typing this at a table piled high with uncleared cups and rubbish, much like every other here. my barista Louis may have suffered a recent bereavement in which case fair play, but failing that I cannot see what entitles him too serve me so brusquely and rudely. possibly his crap wage. appalling service either way. Costa next time. ugh.

Called in as needed to pass the time waiting for the AA, due to a colleague leaving the interior light on in the car! It served a purpose and the staff were friendly.

Went here for a coffee during out shopping trip on Monday, it was no busy so we were served quickly. However there was no java chipps frapuciono which was okay but when my friend changed her order they ignored her soya milk and put in normal milk as well there was no coffee taste in the carmel coffee frapuciono. When... More

Visted here and asked for a java chip frap with soya milk it turns out they didn't have any Java chips so went for a caramel coffee frap instead only to get one with milk and not soya milk and without coffee very disappointed

Staying in New Town

Neighbourhood Profile
New Town
Suits and shopping bags rule the streets of New Town, until after dark when strappy dresses come out to play. This is the city’s central business district with its smaller offices, clothes boutiques, and many of the city’s flashiest restaurants and ritziest clubs. The architecture along roads like George Street helps give it a swank and formal feel: it’s a planned Georgian development of regal townhouses, geometric squares, and self-important statues. But it’s also a very wanderable neighbourhood, with a healthy bustle at almost any time of day and fine people-watching in places like St Andrew's Square which fills with picnickers around lunch. You’ll also find a series of cheerful basement bistros on Hanover Street, while dark Rose Street has something of the feel of an undiscovered back alley and is chock-full of characterful pubs and small independent shops.
