This restaurant was close to the flat we rented and based on the good reviews on Trip Advisor we tried it out one night for takeaway. We got big portions and tasty food at a good price. Happy customers!

Went here the other night to try and was very pleased. The whole night was great. I asked what was good and was told by the waitress what she liked, so I simple went with that, a chicken curry with peanut sauce, white rice and a garlic naan to share with my friend. the curry was really nice and the... The restaurant has a very cosy and laid back look. I was there with some friends and we shared different food and everything was good, we went along with a bunch of the recommendation the waiter gave us and we were not disappointed. The food was flavourful and tasty. The price range is good so i would definitely advise people... More

The restaurant would be perfect for you if you're looking for cheap eats however the curry was nothing special for me at all. Within a city full of amazing restuarants this one was average really but would be a good choice for budget meals.

I have walked past this place a few times without trying but I am glad I did try it. Had the special biryani which was fish on this day. Great dish full of flavour and definitely enough to eat. The other dish was a mixed meat platter and for the price we actually couldn't believe how much we got. The... More

I can't even count just how many times I have eaten here. Number one Indian restaurant in Edinburgh for me! Excellent food, always friendly staff, now even Deliveroo deliveries, and the second 10 to 10 up the road, if the original one is full... I love the decoration and the overall atmosphere of the place. So cheap and so delicious.... More

Encourage by the reviews on Tripadvisor, we decided to visit this place. I usually don’t write reviews, but this place made such a bad impression on me that I decided to spend some time and share my opinion. The first impression – cozy, simple place – just the way we like it. But, the food was by far the worse... More

Cheap, extremely tasty and filling - all in a laid back and chilled out atmosphere. Will be back in the future.

Staying in Southside & Holyrood

Neighbourhood Profile
Southside & Holyrood
Many of Edinburgh’s student hangouts gather around university buildings in Southside, the sort of neighbourhood that supports a long string of second-hand shops and eateries serving ethnic food for just a few pounds. In August the student population is replaced by vast numbers of boisterous visitors here for the Fringe, Edinburgh’s world-class comedy and arts festival which headquarters itself here. Flanking Southside are two great parks. The Meadows is a vast flat and sporty space where football, rugby, tennis, cricket, croquet, and golf often all take place side by side. Kids in its big playgrounds add to the joyful noise. Far bigger and much wilder, Holyrood Park extends to the east and provides a real hike up Arthur’s Seat, but the district is best known as the site of Scotland’s Parliament and its premier Royal Palace—and their steady stream of sightseers.
