Heard lots of good reviews about this place and was not disappointed! My friends and I had the vegetarian nachos and onion rings. Staff were very friendly and happily put the sour cream on the side for us instead of on the nachos. Food arrived...More

It was as exactly what we'd hoped for: good food, good portions, good beer, good music, good staff! Plenty vegan friendly options and plenty others which suited us (one vegan, one not) perfectly. Don't change a thing, will definitely be back!

Good choice of vegan food. Relaxed atmosphere. Really good pub quiz although very difficult (or maybe that was just us...).

Hi Lucy, Thank you so much for your review. Yeah the quiz is quite taxing - loads of our customers are students or academics. Come back and see us again soon. Kind regards, Jonathan

Came here after searching for decent vegetarian food. Food was delicious, there are plenty of vegetarian places to eat in Edinburgh but I found this to be the best. Bit of a walk from where we were staying but was well worth it. Was a...More

replaced by vast numbers of boisterous visitors here

Description
The Home Of Edinburgh's Largest Nachos! We serve quality pub food in nice big portions. Favourites include our famous nachos, burgers, hot dogs and burritos. Lots of our dishes are vegetarian and many are vegan. We are very passionate about beer. We serve Brewdog's Punk IPA and Brooklyn Lager permanently, and our guest ale comes from craft breweries such as Alechemy, Dark Star, Five Points, Fyne Ale, Magic Rock, Moor, Summer Wine and Tiny Rebel. Our jukebox is legendary in Edinburgh for having the best selection of metal, punk and goth music. Bands such as Alice In Chains, Black Flag, Danzig, Deftones, Kyuss, Mastodon, Nick Cave, Nitzer Ebb, Rage Against The Machine and Tiger Army make up the soundtrack to a stay in The Auld Hoose. Children are not permitted on the premises at any time, and we don't take reservations. Oh yeah, students get a 10% discount on all food purchases!
