We had just arrived in Edinburgh and needed some pub food and a pint. We walked in and were immediately made felt comfortable and fed quickly. The food was much better than most pubs and the service was wonderful/

The mussels were excellent. Can I give special thanks to the man who served me? You don't often get politeness, never mind courtesy as a solo diner. This was a busy restaurant and he made me feel wanted not an inconvenience. Thank you.

We went for a drink in one of Edinburgh's oldest bar. The personell can tell you a lot about the history of the bar and do this with fervor!! handy detail: there's a women's toilet too....

Good atmosphere. Good food although could, and shoud, be MUCH better for vegetarians. Good selections of beers and staff are friendly.

Stockbridge & Dean Village
Just downhill of New Town and attractively straddling
a river near the elegant Royal Botanic Garden, it’s
small wonder that Stockbridge became one of the city’s
first hip neighbourhoods. It’s now one of Edinburgh’s
most desirable, though many bohemian touches have
fallen away as its residents have matured and the area
has gentrified. Some second-hand shops cling on, but
mostly residents display refined tastes in basement
