Really tired after a hard day's sightseeing we popped in here for a quick bite to eat. The servers were really good. Very friendly, very efficient and the food well cooked and presented. This is what I would call more traditional pub grub but no...More

We were staying in an apartment down the street on vacation and luckily found this place right on the corner. They have very good food. My mom fell in love with their haggis. I tried their burger on one occasion and their fish and chips...More

We dropped in for some food, being vegetarians, we loved the menu, very refreshing to have interesting choices for a change! We ordered veggie mince fajitas and the veggie haggis burger. We can honestly say these are the best veggie food dishes we have ever...More

Had a great evening here, food was excellent and some nice beers on offer. Staff really friendly and it is a dog friendly pub so we were able to take our dog in as well. Recommended

Great traditional pub food. You get what it says on the tin. Only downside is it’s very crammed. Service is always good.

Lovely busy bar. I’m a real ale lover so this bar was ideal. The Courage Directors Ale was perfect. Could not have been better. My pork & black pudding sausages were good ( a bit hard at the ends ) but good. Gravy and mash...More

Everything in the Bailie is great. The atmosphere, staff, food and drinks are brilliant. The mussels are some of the best we've had, the Scottish burger is great value and the specials are always lovely. The portions are very generous.

In for a quick drink before eating at Noks Kitchen. Just felt that everyone was welcomed with a smile and obviously used by a lot of locals of all ages. It would be my local if we lived in Stockbridge.

Stockbridge & Dean Village
Just downhill of New Town and attractively straddling
a river near the elegant Royal Botanic Garden, it’s
small wonder that Stockbridge became one of the city’s
first hip neighbourhoods. It’s now one of Edinburgh’s
most desirable, though many bohemian touches have
fallen away as its residents have matured and the area
has gentrified. Some second-hand shops cling on, but
mostly residents display refined tastes in basement
