I have been here a few times on the way to Cricket at Grange nearby. Thought I would bring my wife and she enjoyed it. Nice sausage rolls with a cappuccino and a mocha. Only down point is it can feel a little cramped when busy as the place is small but well recommended.

I had been driving for over 2 hours and was ready for a morning coffee. There are plenty coffee shops in Stockbridge, and this may be one of the smallest, but it was very nice indeed. I had a nice rich tasting coffee and a particularly tasty piece of tiffin. It doesn't take many people to fill the place, and... More

Tiny cafe on Main Street in Stockbridge. A bit cramped but lovely sausage and bacon rolls. Nice coffee too. Lady who I think owns the cafe is v friendly. Other staff at weekends could be a bit friendlier.

We went here for our breakfast and had sausage and scrambled egg rolls, and coffee. First of all I want to comment how well priced everything was - especially for the area. The food was super yummy and very filling. The lady working in the cafe was great with my kids. I will be back for sure

Simple cafe at Toll Cross. You can't complain, you get what you order, simple but fair. This place is great for breakfast

Came today for a nice lunch as was out shopping in Stockbridge. Ordered two toasties for myself and a friend and both were gorgeous, absolutely stuffed full as well, plenty for the price. Coleslaw and salad were a nice addition, and presentation was very cute!! The ladies in the cafe were lovely, very attentive and kind, fab service and wonderful... More

I've no idea why I've never thought to write a review I come here so often, I love cafe plum , whilst it's a small area they manage to produce lovely filled rolls , the bacon comes from the equally great butchers across the road. Staff are very friendly and now know me by name. It's my secret little escape... More

Staying in Stockbridge & Dean Village

Neighbourhood Profile
Stockbridge & Dean Village
Just downhill of New Town and attractively straddling a river near the elegant Royal Botanic Garden, it’s small wonder that Stockbridge became one of the city’s first hip neighbourhoods. It’s now one of Edinburgh’s most desirable, though many bohemian touches have fallen away as its residents have matured and the area has gentrified. Some second-hand shops cling on, but mostly residents display refined tastes in basement bistros, gastropubs, coffee and antique shops, boutiques and delis and at the Sunday farmers' market. A pleasant ten-minute walk away, along a leafy riverside path beside the gurgling Water of Leith, lies Dean Village. This sleepy neighborhood of medieval half-timbered houses still retains much of the village feel it had when watermills plied their trade here. Beyond, the wooded riverside path feels even more remote as it climbs to the sculpture gardens of the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art.
