We had to wait a few minutes for a table, but it was worth it. We sat near the cake table (I am still thinking about it!) and enjoyed a lovely tea and cake afternoon. The tearoom has fun and quirky decor, lots of tea...More

Spotted this place on our walk to Arthur's seat and it looked busy inside and very sweet, so made a note to stop off on our way back for lunch. A couple of hours later when we returned from our walk, it was still busy...More

A charming, cozy place to relax, grab a bite, and warm up with a cup. Really nice to do after visiting Holyrood Palace or hiking Arthur’s Seat. Wonderful selection of homemade desserts—you’ll have a hard time choosing!

This is a relatively small tea room (6-7 tables only) with a very quaint interior setting. Therefor it's usually pretty busy. We had an afternoon cream tea. They had a nice selection of home made cakes, pastries and scones. The staff was very friendly.

Having eaten here on many occasions I was really looking forward to the Scottish breakfast. When my food arrived it looked amazing as always. The sausages were cold and the staff were very helpful and quick to change them, unfortunately when they came back they...More

Cosy seating, lovely tea and cake selection. Great place to crash for a snack or creme tea after walking through the city. Limited seating, but tables can be shared.

Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its
labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests
this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly
visitors, tartan-flavoured souvenir shops, and pipers
that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the
place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as
the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal
Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the
