It has closed down. This cafe has stopped it's business. There is no more scones or chocolate cake. It's a pity cause it was a nice place.

A little bit average. A little bit tired. A little bit no frills. But for what it is Toast is perfectly acceptable. A basic cooked breakfast is available. Nice sausages. Bacon over cooked as a result of previous cooking and then being kept warm. Plates would benefit from being warmed. Otherwise breakfast as would be expected.

While staffing a charity unit on Gray Street, we found Toast to be the ideal venue for take-way paninis, and the waitress even delivered them to us at our shop.

Ok but disappointing and very average. Litter on floor. Unenthusiastic service and bland food..even the double Americano was indifferent. Won't be a next time. Expensive for what we had.

As soon as we walked through the door, the very strong smell of cooking food hit us as did the heat so I do wish we had turned round and left then. The only free table was dirty. Not sure why the dirty plates etc.. had been cleared but the table had not been wiped down. It gave a bad... More

Went here for lunch, as we have done several times in the past over a number of years whilst visiting BRoughty Ferry. It is mainly snack type food, but very well presented, freshly prepared and cooked, and very reasonable prices.

Friendly but inattentive & slightly slow service where staff were also slow to clear away & wipe down tables. One did but then left the dirty cloth on the table ! Home made soup was hot & tasty with warm & fresh bread roll. Salad was easily forgettable. Slightly tired decor e.g table tops need varnished. Prices reasonable but I'm... More
