Popped in for lunch,I had battered haddock. It was skinless and so fresh. Came with a mountain of chips. My friend had black pudding, he wasn't so sure that the dip went with it taste wise. That didn't stop him eating it all though. Nice...More

We have been visiting Anstruther and the Waterfront for over 20 years and have never been disappointed; this year was no exception. The restaurant has a very pleasant ambience, the staff are attentive and the food superb; they made a special fuss of the 3...More

Really enjoyed getting out of Dundee for a short taxi ride to a great pub experience but then a quieter proper restaurant with good food. I dined with a colleague one night and then returned with 6 others two nights later. Everyone wondered how we...More

Downstairs pub and upstairs restaurant. Reasonable choice. We sat downstairs on a wet weekday lunchtime, then I discovered the upstairs restaurant when visiting the loos. Nice atmosphere, reasonable food choices. My husband had a bucket of mussles. I had vegetarian lasagne. Friendly staff. Not too...More

Three for dinner in the first floor restaurant at the Waterfront restaurant above the Ship Inn in Broughty Ferry. An intimate restaurant with a good choice of food - particularly seafood - and a presentable wine list. Views past the Lifeboat dock across the broad...More

I was taken on a bit of a pub crawl "roond the Ferry" by an old friend who knew the area and its pubs well. This one was one of the best, and had some real ales and friendly staff.

The Ship Inn is not a cutting edge sophisticated dining experience but knows its clientele and caters extremely well towards them. Based on the banks of the River Tay with a huge picture window, the panelling and general atmosphere inside gives a cosy atmosphere, although...More

Sorry not sure, there are plenty around there, some within easy walk. I can recommend the sister hotel of the Invercarse, Dundee. Just can't remember it's name, but it is in Broughty Ferry
