Visited here recently because of the good reviews, unfortunately I found the experience disappointing. Meagre portions, and very boring accompaniments. Staff very pleasant and helpful but will not be back.

We visited the restaurant for the first time on Easter Saturday being a party of four people.Pleasantly surprised by the ambience of the restaurant and the warm welcome we received immediately on arrival from the excellent staff. There is a good selection of dishes available on both the a la carte menu and also the very good value table d`hote... More

Nice ambience to the place, can be very noisy due to tongue and groove wood on walls and hard floors, however, you tune that out as the evening progresses. only opens Thursday, Friday and Saturday and as a consequence is always busy. The quality of the food is excellent.

I have been here twice recently and both times have had great service and wonderful food. The first time there was 50 of us and the staff coped extremely well with that amount of people and the food arrived quickly and was the usual high standard. Staff were friendly and put up with the noise of our party. Thanks for... More

Only open Mon-Sat and gets booked up quickly, so reservation recommended. Good value set menu of delicious dishes, however this hasn't changed in a while so it might be good to have some variations. The owner is very welcoming and takes the time to speak to each group.

First time here but would return. Settled on 2 course for £16 menu which was good value for the money. Lovely bottle of sauvinon Blanc although it was not on the wine list. We had pate and mushroom bruschetta for starters. Not a lot of pate but lovely oatcakes. Sea bass and fillet steaks (£6 supplement) for mains. Sea bass... More

When was the last time you were seated at 1845 in a restuarant and left at 2245 having had great Italian food. Staff are friendly and efficient but you are not rushed and you can sit and chat without being pressured to leave. Starters, main and desert were all excellent. Oh and try the Irish coffee.

I can't recommend Primo Piano highly enough! I love Italian food it's long been my 'go to' when we're out for dinner: and having done the 'let's try somewhere new' many times in the past we'd exhausted the options and always ended up the same - disappointed. Not with Primo - it's consistently superb, the atmosphere is always relaxed and... More

I recently dined here (a party of four) and once again was delighted with the service, the menu, the food and the atmosphere. All the serving staff are young and they are attentive, pleasant and eager to make sure everything is to the diners satisfaction. I would recommend this establishment to locals and visitors alike. You can be assured of... More

What a fabulous experience! There were 6 of us, grandparents, parents and 2 wee ones, for Christmas lunch. The food was sublime from soup to sweets! 2 adults had turkey (just delicious!) and 2 had fillet steak (wonderful, I'm told). The wee ones had a small (?.......not so small!) portion of turkey and trimmings and we all thoroughly enjoyed it.... More
