Went here for lunch and it's okay, it's like an upscale pub food menu really. Staff is friendly. They don't take cards which surprised me so make sure you bring cash

As part of a trip on the Borders Railway (Edinburgh to Tweedbank) we checked out a possible restaurant in Tweedbank – as it turns out there is only one restaurant but what an amazing one it is!! The restaurant in question is Hergés by the...More
Thanks so much for your kind recommendation. I am glad you had such a good day. Haste yet back!
Not sure why some reviews have been negative. On this occasion, the restaurant was very very busy but we were welcomed and shown to a nice large table overlooking the loch. The very friendly waiting on staff promptly took our drinks order and then followed...More
Thanks very much. I know we can't please everyone, but we do try and it's so nice when our guests tell us. Glad you had a good time.

Our train pulled into Tweedbank at the end of the Borders Railway and we headed for Herges restaurant. That was not difficult as the route is well-signed (you can walk straight there although you cannot see the path on google). We were offered a table...More
