Oddly decorated and furnished makes for a comfortable place to eat with friends. The food was good but not outstanding, we had lunch but there is not a specific lunch so it was more expensive than we could have had elsewhere yet the portions were small, more akin to lunch specials, normally we can't finish but no trouble here. Rice... More

Always back in Light of Bengal for a curry when visiting Aberdeen. There were 6 of us around the table on a Sunday evening. It was surprisingly quiet, but that was fine. Ordered 6 different curries, 2 x pilau rice and 2 x naan, no starters. Couldn't finish it all.... Different tastes and various strength/heat. My alltime favourite is the... More

This is a long established restaurant which was revamped in 2014. The menu is extensive with a number of less familiar items. All four of us had different main courses which were all excellent. The chef brought the items to our table- a nice touch. The owner spoke to us at the end of the evening and was very friendly.... More

We recently shifted to Aberdeen and were craving Indian food. So someone recommended this place. We went for dinner with friends. We ordered the paneer shashlik and onion bhajji for appetisers (the server kept insisting it was main course). For breads, we ordered the family naan and garlic naan. Friends ordered chicken tikka for appetisers and south Indian lamb chilli... More

This is our favourite Indian restaurant in Aberdeen. We keep going back as the food can’t be matched elsewhere and the service is always first class. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and family friendly. Popadums with dips are always brought to your table which are great whilst you’re reading the menu and waiting for the meal to be brought out.... More

Arrived on my own, was asked to sit in reception area when there were loads of empty tables. Used to come here years ago, was much better then. Chicken Jalfrezi was basically pre cooked dry chicken with raw onions and raw green peppers.... just awful. Complained but waiter just looked clueless Cold Cobra was about the best bit.

Not been in for a long while, and decided to pay a visit the last time we were in Aberdeen and we most certainly will going back. Lovely menu, reasonably priced, and good sized portions. We served, one of the chefs took it to the table on a trolley, and he served the food on to the table. Nice touch... More

Restaurant is situated on a side street off the top end of Union Street. Great reception upon arrival, very efficient and friendly. There are leather comfy sofas to sit should you need to wait for friends to arrive. However, there are a couple of tables at the door where people were already eating their meal while we sat waiting, I... More
