Met with a very warm welcome at the café creme, when we stopped for lunch. Tasty toasted sandwiches & delicious soup in this friendly café. Good coffee too. Great place to stop, rest & refresh yourself.

Called in for a light lunch and was pleasantly surprised at the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The restaurant was busy but the self service queue was managed efficiently and our food arrived quickly. It was clear the staff knew their regular customers. I had a delicious cherry and coconut scone and a large pot of tea.

The food is lovely, reasonably priced and the staff are very friendly but there is so little space between tables. You have to move to let people in and move to let people out! You are sitting so close to people it feels like you are having lunch with everyone in the cafe!

First impressions not the best because of a step and tables being too close together making wheelchair access difficult. However once settled the cappuccino and tea were very good and so were the cakes. This place is very popular and crowded and was recommended to us. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Recently had breakfast on a Sunday morning, there was a queue so shows the place is popular. Didnt have to wait long to place my order and even though quite busy soon was able to find a vacant seat.Had a complimentary newspaper whilst waiting for my food to arrive which wasn't too long and pleased to say was piping hot,non greasy... Visited Cafe Creme 2years ago during my first visit to Newcastle and couldn't wait to go back. This trip I was able to visit a few times. Had a delicious breakfast, including a luscious cherry and coconut scone. Great coffee-including both filter coffee and espresso drinks. Very impressive staff-young people who were very polite and visibly hard working. This is... More

On a rainy day we decided to take a trip to Newcastle for a fry. We went to Cafe Creme and ordered all day breakfast for £5.50. You won"t leave hungary. There is also a great selection of buns and pastries. The staff are very friendly and they make a great effort keeping the cafe clean. The toliets were also... More

We have been go here regularly since it first opened, and the food is always first class. As the name suggests its a cafe, so the menu is soups, sandwiches & paninis and the "all day breakfast" alongside scones, muffins & sweet treats. That said the food is always 1st class. As I say we've been going there regularly for... More

First time I went here I was really impressed but went back today and was disappointed. We always stop on the bike for a scone and coffee- the scone wasn't very big and the coffee wasn't very hot. Quite expensive too for all we had. Won't be back for a while.
