Reviewed yesterday NEW

We had heard good reviews and went out of our way to go but were curtly told the restaurant did not open until 1:00PM - Kind of late, I would say!!

Was told by some people how good this place was. How badly mistaken they were. Food was borderline un edible . They must have tried to make up for the lack of taste with ridiculous portion sizes. Old fashioned menu Old fashioned decor No atmosphere Won't be back

Came on the off chance after driving past the turning for blackwatertown and remembering someone had mentioned the restaurant was good. I was in the Portmor for a family meal on Sunday 12th March. It was confirmation and he restaurant was extremely busy. Service was quite good considering this and the waitresses very nice. I ordered medallions of beef, cooked medium. When my food arrived, the medallions were rare, very rare and nowhere near medium. I can tolerate a little below... More

A group of 5 of us were in the Portmor this weekend past. I hadn't been there for 15 years so it is a very different place now! Our booking was for 7.30 and you can tell it's a popular place because it was full. While the decor and layout is lovely, it isn't somewhere I would consider for a... More
