Food was excellent. First time i have ever had squid and I must say I wasn't disappointed. Steak was cooked to perfection and perfectly tender. Alex the chef/owner made the point of coming out to make sure we were all happy with food which was a nice touch. Reasonably priced and we will definitely be back!!! Don't forget Alex u... More

As above. Food really brilliant and very fresh and staff very friendly. And the main chef Alex is very friendly and always there to help. Defiantly recommend this restaurant. Steaks and the seafood is brilliant. Don't go to Belfast without giving this place a try.

Recently went along with some friends and really enjoyed everything about it! Two of our group were vegan and the staff made a point of trying to accommodate them with a bespoke starter and main course! Impressive! The food itself was also lovely and went along with the cosy atmosphere.

Called into this restaurant as we were waking past this evening. It looked warm and cosy. We were a party of four who were given an amazingly warm welcome from the owner. We requested vegan alternatives to the menu and what we got was amazing. The service was wonderful and the food outstanding. If you have not been please go!... More

All food is freshly prepared in this quirky, traditional local restaurant. You probably would not find this restaurant without Trip advisor if visiting the city but it is well known to local people. Not only a good all day breakfast menu but there are also great 2 course meal deals. Well worth a try if you want something differant from... More

We went here on Saturday night, after a day's shopping. We found it really difficult to get a free table in other restaurants. Alex went out of his way to check if he had a free table, and fortunately, he had. The food was top class, Alex, Jolene and Bronagh were excellent hosts. I would highly recommend The Allotment.

Last night we had our office Christmas dinner at The Allotment Bistro. It's the third time this year that I've been in with a large group (over 20 people). Each time the food has been beautiful and the service has been fantastic. Alex and his staff couldn't have done more for us. When we discovered that the Vegetarian Pie was... More
