This is clearly a popular place and was always busy when we went past. We didn't have to queue for a table (but we did see others queuing afterwards) but I can see why. The food was cheap but that did not compromise the standard whatsoever. It was delicious and the portions were large. I will be going back when... More

Everytime I go here for lunch, I get a new milkshake to try them all! They are very tasty and a large serving size. The food is quite okay. But for the price, it is a great place to have a lunch. It is always very busy so prepare for a wait!

We had a nice morning walk from the Europa hotel down to this lovely little restaurant for breakfast. We had a veggie fry (a normal British breakfast without the meat) and a yummy omelette. Over breakfast we watched as all freshly baked goods for the day were delivered by the baker! We didn't have room left to try any so... More

Visited here on 1st Jan for breakfast and I can only assume that the staff members on shift drew the short straw for working. Miserable does not even come close. Were grunted at when we first came in and menus threw on the table. The tables are definitely not big enough for 4 so it was pretty uncomfortable but I... More

Whether you're hanging like Saddam post-lever pulling or starving like one of those Greek monks in the middle of a fast (c'mon lads, we've all been there! Even the overdraft hits a limit when all you've eaten for four days is ready made 'lasagna' or porridge). Maggie May's will honestly keep you going! Their food is priced better than broom... More

Shoutout to the waitress yesterday who didn't judge me for ordering french toast with Nutella. Did not get your name but she showed great hospitality to us moving tables together so we could all sit together. She was fab and deserves a pay rise as I'm in Maggies all the time and some of the staff can be a bit... More

Having an hour to kill, my wife, daughter & i decided to try this cafe as opposed to several others near by. I asked for drinks to be served with the meal but they were served well before the meal although these were taken back and an apology given. I ordered a fry - all the "fried" bread was not... More

My boyfriend has been going to Maggie's for years but for one reason or another I hadn't made it until now and it was worth the wait! It was after an early morning flight and it was the perfect thing to set me up for a busy day! The fry was amazing and it's such a cool little place!

Wee cafe which is a little bit shabby but clean enough; service good & food fine, if unremarkable....except the scones. Get the fruit one - they are huge, moist & delicious.

Frequented mainly by students we accompanied our son and fiancée after a visit to the cinema. We just wanted a quick bite to eat before making our way home. The menu was extensive, so much so it wS hard to choose. I opted for the chilli con carne with boiled rice. My husband had a burger and the others had... More
