We were staying at the hotel and had a nightcap here both nights. We got back to the hotel about 10.45pm both evenings. On both nights, the same family were in the bar along with at least 4 children. The children were running around the bar and up and down to the rooms. Yet the bar staff still served the... More

We ate here a couple of times when staying at the attached hotel. for the most part the staff were helpful and pleasant. during an evening meal I received a dry luke warm chicken which felt it had either sat on the pass far too long or had been microwaved, once I pointed this out to the staff they were... We ate here twice. On the first occasion, two of the party had fish and chips and were disappointed to find that it was frozen cod and not very tasty. I would have thought a city by the sea could have produced fresh fish. Most of the other meals were fine , but nothing to rave about. However it was... More

I had my breakfast and dinner at this restaurant while I stayed in the attached hotel. The food is delicious, and the staff are brilliant and very friendly and accommodating. If you have any queries or preferences for your meal they are very helpful to assist in catering for you.

This is attached to the Premier Inn so supper meals are discounted if you also have breakfast - I went for supper the first time because I was late getting in and was pleasantly surprised by the food and comfort of the place. I had the breaded shrimps and tomato-mozarella salad with chicken - while not exotic, both were very... More

We ate here as we were staying in the hotel. We were advised that there might be a wait for service as there was a large party. This was not the case with our main course which arrived promptly. However, the steak and kidney pudding was served with chips, not mash as per the menu. The pudding was in fact... More

one of our friends was celebrating a 50 th birthday and staying for the weekend at the premier inn, just opposite, they said the meal was outstanding and they were very impressed, especially as one said she was difficult to please!

This is a premier in hotel, and the restaurant is their usual Thyme menu. What they serve is average but quite over preice. Very friendly and helpful staff.

My goodness! This place forges new frontiers in dreadfulness :( We ate here because it was late on a trying day and it was convenient to our hotel, even including a special supper-and-breakfast deal for ultimate convenience. After the debacle of supper, we canceled the next mornings breakfast. It's bad enough that most of the food is straight out of... More
