Visited a few times now and it is painfully average. Reasonably priced but food is extremely bland and definitely not cooked fresh. Chips taste hollow. Could make the food yourself at home and it would probably be nicer. Lots of nicer places in botanic/ lisburn road area

If you want a friendly place to sit with a fine piece of apple or banoffee pie, this wee cafe is fantastic. If you are looking for something a little more substantial in terms of a main course, then the food is not quite as good. Decent chips and mushy peas with the fish, but the fish itself was overcooked;... More

Came here as a group of five, but the tables were so small that one of us had to sit separate.. the food was below par, we had two teas which were served in dirty mugs which had literally only just been rinsed. service was all very smiley, but it didn't make up for the fact that the breakfast we... Eaten here on several occasions and it's a great wee spot to grab a quick meal and catch up with friends and family. The food is tasty and inexpensive while offering a wide enough variety of options to suit most tastes, and the staff have always been very pleasant. A safe bet for some no frills, no nonsense food on... More

I ordered a chicken ceasar salad but what i got was not a chicken ceasar salad at all. A ceasar salad doesn't include tomato or cucumber and is made from cos or romaine lettuce (not mixed leaves). Very disappointing (which was what was listed on the menu. It was also covered in dried parmesan - not freshly grated. When I... More

Was in botanic area of belfast today looking for somewhere for lunch, only to be enticed into 'The Other Place' by a large sign outside "Toss Up Tuesdays, flip a coin for a chance to get 50% off your main, starter or dessert". Nowhere on this sign did it say what time it commenced at, or ended at. After an... More

Hi Gerard, thanks for taking the time to review us on Tripadvisor and I personally disappointed that you had such a negative review to feedback to us.This offer is available when you order any main course at " any time " during our advertised opening hours on a Tuesday hence why you didnt see any time advertised. Could drop me... More

As my title says , don't expect a tiny piece of steak it's quite reasonable size although it wasn't either prepared or cooked that well , my plate did have oil residue although that could have come from fried mushroom and onion under the steak ... It's a cheap steak ( rump) and filled a hole and it is what... More

Loved this place so much we were in it a few times! Excellent food and service. Food all cooked fresh and most nights they have special offers on. Sunday lunch menu was delicious and excellent value and breakfast and lunch menu excellent. Would highly recommend!
