Terry is ace, so welcoming and such a great atmosphere in the place, the full English breakfast is to die for, the most amazing bacon that i've ever had, from a local butcher 😊 would stay again for sure

We visited when the weather was good, only people in the restaurant when we sat down. Excellent service, had starters and mains. Food fresh and meat so tender! Enough vegetables and breads to start. Well worth the visit for the roast dinner. We want to visit again to try the main menu!

Popped in for lunch and was very pleasantly surprised. Despite it's slightly faded glory look from the outside it is lovely inside with late Victorian tiling and period knickknacks around the place. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. My mother and aunt had the child's portion of fish and chips which were huge!! My father had the regular size... More

We were there on Friday night when they had their 2-course special. The meals were very good - so much so that we were tempted back there again on the Saturday night. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

Bob and the team catered for our wedding at the Waterloo and the food was stunning. We had great feedback from all of our guests who commented that to produce 80 meals in one sitting and still have such high quality was a real achievement.

Took my 96 year old Mum out for lunch with family. The access was easy for a wheelchair, wide doors and helpful staff. Good beers and excellent nutricious and tasty food. Interesting menu.

We recently visited Newport and stayed in this beautifully restored Edwarian hotel. As this is a grade 2 listed building, many of its original features have been retained, not least of which is the wonderful original bar area. Our bedroom was spacious with a king sized bed and sitting area. The bathroom was modern and towels were large and fluffy.... More

Great food, fantastic hotel, lovely staff...stayed only for one night, but we will be back :). Rooms are specious, very comfortable bed... We were reading comments on tripadvisor before we booked and the area looks a bit scruffy, but inside it was nice and cosy. Room was facing the busy road but not as much as some of the comments...
