Went for a party here and thought it really nice. The extra touches added were a surprise and very welcome. Food was lovely and the service was really good

Service was slow and my wife's snails were not good at all. For the price I've had far better brasserie meals.

It's OK for lunch but there are now so many venues in the City and the Bay that I would not go out of my wat to visit.

Used to be one of our favourite places to eat especially after a concert or match! Sadly, however, the last few times we tried it the food wasn't up to scratch.

I tried lunch here with friends and I was embarrassed by the experience. The service was patchy and unless you ordered wine with the meal you tended to be ignored. Don't go there.

Great place to meet friends after work or for lunch on the weekend. Fantastic selection of fish and meats to choose from and you pay by the weight. Excellent and vast selection of wines to suit all wallets, but check how much a waiters recommendation...More

A long established member of Cardiff's eating scene. Sister to the well known Le Monde restaurant, but with a more casual bistro feel. The terrace is a welcome addition to the restaurant in the summer and the new menu offers a range of salads, grills and snacks. La France is alive and well in Wales. The basic idea is that you select your steak or items of seafood tastefully displayed on the slab and mosey across to the chef's department. They will either interpret your wishes or make suggestions of their own, and you can observe whilst they get on with the job. Dishes are therefore largely as you would have them. A well-travelled wine list re-establishes the duties of the proprietor and house wine starts at £11.99. This is a good eating option at prices that almost anybody can afford; while the two course lunch at £7.95 is extremely good value.
