After strong reccomendations from our friend AJ my husband and I decided to eat here tonight on our three night visit to Cardiff. What a good choice that was! The food is amazing...and so well presented. The restaurant has recently refurbished and is chic, warm...and inviting. We can't recommend this place enough and can't wait to come back.More
Booked here having wanted to go many times pre Covid so now was our opportunity. Starter of soft shell crab was delicious. Delicate and beautifully spiced. Could have devoured 6 of them! Main was Lamb Rojan Josh and chilli Nan. Delicious gravy and meat was...very tender. Girlfriend had mixed vegetable thali which had lots of choice and flavour. Dessert was caramelised pineapple with coconut icecream. Refreshing and flavoursome. Perhaps more expensive than most Indian restaurants but it is a step up in quality so expected.More
We were staying in Cardiff for one night and decided to come here after hearing good reviews. We weren’t disappointed! We both had Fresh from the Creamery to start, which was beautiful in terms of both presentation and flavour. We opted for different main courses...and both of us enjoyed the depth of flavour and refined Indian cooking that this restaurant offers. Service was attentive and friendly. Would recommend!More
This is a really good restaurant that serves excellent, authentic Indian food.
We had the Samosa Chaat & Chicken Connoisseur (Trio of Tikkas) for starter and the Tiffin Seabass & Murgh Lababdar for main with some dahl and a naan. All of the food was...excellent though the sea bass needs special mention as it was absolutely sublime.
With a couple of alcoholic drinks and a tip, the final bill came to just over £70 which is good value for what we had. Recommended when in Cardiff which is, by the way, a lovely city!More
Recently went to a wedding where the food for the evening party was Street Food provided by The Purple Poppadom. It was delicious - enjoyed by everyone - served with good humour and meeting everyone’s tastes/dietary restrictions.
We had a super evening at the Purple Poppadom, Chef Patron Anand came out to see us as we have known him for quite a while. The restaurant has maintained its high standards and the staff were very attentive, such a pleasure to go back....We came all the way from Abergavenny for the experience and the restaurant didnt let us down very much enjoyed it.More
Had received a gift voucher Christmas 2019 for a two person Chefs Taster Menu meal but because of lockdowns etc. was unable to take up until July 14th 2021. Firstly, thank you Adam for honouring a well out of date voucher. Secondly, it was worth...the wait! The quality, creativity and presentation of each of the seven courses was superb. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and both my wife (8st!) and I (16st) were comfortably full at the end.
Thank you also for the attentive service by all staff members. And for mask-wearing (Covid) at all times. Faultless.
Diolch Adam a’r tîm am noson fendigedig. Balch o gael bwyd o safon mor uchel yn ein prif ddinas.More
