I would have given Piccolo Bar two stars but, I couldn't say our visit was poor. I'd have much preferred to give it 4 stars but unfortunately the poor value for money prevents me from doing so. The location is lovely as is the glass structure. Sadly, £4.80 for a toasted sandwich served with not so much as a garnish... More

Very told customer service. Asked for the toilet for a 3 and a 5 year old told no toilets. Asked for the nearest told to go up town. Had just purchased drinks and cake for the children and coffee for myself had to leave it and go. Often in porthcawl however will never use it again. No wonder the town... More

We were pleased to come across this fine coffee bar while strolling along the esplanade in Porthcawl. Yes, it has more than coffee, but our coffees were perfect and the gluten free orange polenta cake and the best ever custard tart. The service was good and the staff were friendly and most importantly it was very cosy on a cold... More

Good selection of food and deserts. My last visit was with my partner this summer; we had a toastie each, followed by a very indulgent chocolate cake. Service was friendly and fast. I'm a tea drinker, but my other half advises the coffee was really nice. Visited during a few different seasons and there's always a lovely view of the... More

This place is good for a coffee and a cake but was disappointed with their sandwiches. They are not value for money, they are a bit shy on the filling. I had a sausage and bacon sandwich, one sausage sliced in four and three small thin rashers of streaky bacon. It was similar issue with the chicken sandwich. Their cake... More

Didn't have time to stop at the Bar on this occasion. The inside looks clean and tidy and always lots there but on this occasion I had the ice cream. Oh my word it has to be the best ice cream I have ever tasted. Fantastic!

The piccolo bar is in a great position on the seafront and thts the best thing to say about it. Far to many tables squashed into the inside accident waiting to happen also staff are very quick to clear your table it's like if they want your money but soon as you finish they want you out to make some...
