The proprietors were very friendly and everything was prepared fresh after ordering. The food itself was of a very high standard and had the added pleasure of tablecloths in linen. I can fully recommend this establishment.

Andrew and Jill make the pub and restaurant. They couldn't do enough for us and made us feel like their home was our home for the stay. Made a real effort to look after us and even gave our boy an Easter egg. The food was delicious and we would definitely return. Thanks Jill and Andrew x

This was the end venue for our Car Cliub drive. We decided to stay as we had come ftom Mid Wales and the weather forecast wasn't great. Steak & Ale pie was a favourite with our car owners. I had Cod in Batter, chips and peas. Everybody seemed very happy in the inn. Everyone was very friendly, service was quick.... More

No atmosphere, empty pub and the food was dreadful, tasteless and also expensive. Would definitely NOT recommend it.

Situated just a few hundred metres off of the A40 in a very quiet valley area. This is apparently an AA Welsh pub of the year which offers hikers and tourists accommodation. Breakfast is substantial and will set you up for the day Accommodation is somewhat tired and dated but comfortable and somehow suited to the area and should be... More

Very friendly and solicitous service. Excellent food and well presented. Busy with locals as well as travellers and all received good service.

We booked here as a last minute stay for a family wedding nearby. On arrival the owners made us feel very welcome and were friendly. We ate in the bar/restaurant that night and the food was delicious, home made pie for one and venison sausages for the other with potato and veg. It's was a delicious meal at a good... More

We spend a very enjoyable bank holiday here. The setting is lovely, with lots of nearby walks. Our room was clean and comfortable, with everything we needed, if a little dated. We requested a few things during our stay, for example having our blankets changed for duvets, and all our requests were dealt with quickly and efficiently. The breakfasts were... More
