The small city of Brecon holds many many chain and independent restaurants. Despite this rather humble and undecorated interior the drinks and pastries were to a good standard to appease us. There were many locals that went and this gave the place a nice atmosphere.

Really good coffee and warm chocolate. Nice service, good coffee and really good chocolate. Excellent views on the main street and Cathedral.

I was disgusted on Saturday by the price of a 'grubby café' lunch which included a £2.50 bottle of raspberry lemonade and £4 for a tuna salad sandwich which was a tuna sandwich with a measly but of salad at the side! When I expressed my disappointment on leaving, the man and woman who I assume are the owners, were... More

I called in for lunch at around two o'clock on a Friday. I sat in a fairly empty dining room and read the menu, I chose the home cooked faggots, chips and peas. I think it only took a few minutes to get my food but it arrived steaming hot and plentiful. The faggots were home cooked, full of offal... More

Entered this restaurant, took a table and went to order our food. The lady who served us was frankly not a nice human species, very, very rude. Didn't even place my order, we commented directly to her that her customer service was less than desirable. She retorted that she had worked there 40 years. Frankly time for her to move... More

Greasy chips, small portions, fish was ok. The woman serving, was very abrupt and not very customer friendly. Definitely will avoid in future.

Stooped off in here as a blast from the past. I was visiting the area having last been in Brecon about 30 years ago. I used to visit the Coracle as a teenager. It still remains a friendly, local chippy and cafe. Friendly staff, great service, great memories. Long may they remain.
