Olde worlde type establishment so don't go expecting top nosh food. Service was friendly and efficient but not well organised for such a small place. Food arrived quickly, cheese and tomato sandwich with 1970's style salad garnish and chips, fish and chips, pie and chips, curry and chips, childs meal and chip bap. All were wolfed down although the fish... More

We called by early evening on our way home, looked like they'd had a busy day. Staff were courteous, and food was freshly cooked to order. The chips were delightful as always, good sausages and fish cakes and the gravy was lovely. The fish always looks amazing and next time we're in, we're definitely trying the lamb and mint pudding.... Popped in close to closing time and luckily managed to get served. All the food was freshly cooked and very tasty. The food was really quick too. A lucky find!

We went to have some dinner because I had seen some good reviews and the food was lovely and hot. We went into the cafe because the take away was busy. We will visit again

I wouldn't really call the sit down area a restaurant , it's basic and a bit worn but was spotlessly clean when we visited it. If you like fish and chips then you'll need to go a long way to find better. The batter on my fish was crispy, light and tasted superb. Nothing more I can add.

The fish and chips are fresh and delicious and very decently priced. In spite of my bias as a patron of our local fish and chips shop which is a national winner three years in a row, I could not help feeling impressed by the service and the quality. We opted for takeaway, but there is a restaurant on site.

We went in at about 7pm on a Saturday and we were immediately made welcome by the staff. Easy menu to choose from, we went for the fish, chips, peas, slice of bread and cup of tea. Just perfect, the chips were proper chippy chips and the batter was the best batter I've ever tasted - so light. I think... More

My husband had battered cod and chips here, costing £7.25. Went in on a Friday evening about 7pm and it was empty. Service was excellent and very friendly and food was delicious. The cod was thick, very tender, tasted lovely - my husband loved it. The chips were also very good. Can of diet coke was nice and cold. Brother... More

A couple of chip barms and a portion of curry sauce with onions in it. Sat by the stream and really really enjoyed it. Crispy light hot chips. Not the cheapest, but very good. Again, I'd go back there without hesitation.
