We called in on the off chance to see if they could accommodate my husband and I for dinner on Good Friday as we hadn’t made a booking in advance and everywhere was so busy. They had availability and we were taken down into a small bar area to have a drink, whilst we waited for our table to be... More

We arrived in Beddgelert late on Christmas eve afternoon for a weeks break so we booked a table at a nearby hotel for dinner that evening. We got to the hotel in good time only to find it closed, totally shutdown. We had noticed the Bistro was open and asked if they had a table which they did. The restaurant... More

Plenty of better options in Beddgelert. Tired, worn out and miserable. Just like the proprietor. Saracens, Hebog etc on same row are far better

Midweek walk with dog in Beddgelert and stopped off here for lunch. Asked the proprietor if they accepted dogs and he said yes as it wasn't a wet day so please do ask as I don't think this is a given. Very oldy worldy inside and we went upstairs as ground floor level was busy. We ordered 1 normal tea,... More

Having been told somewhat rudely that the cafe up the road was closed for tea at 3.15 I begun to wonder if anything had changed in North Wales during my 40 plus year absence. The welcome here was friendly enough ,but whilst the tea was good the Welsh cake was dry and not authentic according to my Welsh wife. This... More

Small and cozy with a vast array of antiques and stuff on display. The owners were very welcoming . We ordered dinner and sat in the snug area going through a very nice wine list. food arrived which was all very good. Excellent tastes and superbly cooked. Very happy with the whole experience. They do stop cooking early so you... More

Went to the tea room recently as the one just up the road alongside the river was closed. It looked decent from the outside, but inside is dated and cluttered. It feels like walking into someone's house. There was no music or talking, meaning zero atmosphere. The atiques surrounding you are dusty and not particularly appealing. The cakes were average... Too late for lunch, too early for dinner, but tea time beckoned us in. Stepped in and immediately wondered if the right choice had been made. Atmosphere was somewhat between a warm cozy house and your grandmother's attic. Owner was attentive enough and talked about having been in Florida, where we are from. The vegetarian soup and the cake we... More

We've been eating at the evening Bistro for around 20 years and have always enjoyed our meals here. We've brought friends here over the years, and held a family celebration here back in 2005. The feedback from those we've brought with us has always been excellent. Our most recent visit was last Friday, with a couple of friends. We had... More
