This place gets increasingly bad with each visit. Music is still too loud. Every table were shouting to be heard over the din. Feels increasingly like a rowdy pub than a seafront restaurant. Food: A seafront restaurant with virtually no seafood! Greek salad with 80% lettuce and no dressing. Dry as a bone and utterly tasteless. Served with rustic bread.... More

We had a lovely meal in the upstairs restaurant at the old boat house on Saturday night. With spectacular views across red wharf bay, we enjoyed a lovely meal, good service and a nice atmosphere. Will visit again.

Headed towards the ship Inn but they had stopped food service until later so went to the boat house, glad we did as food was great and we certainly didn't leave hungry. We had the club sandwich which was one of the best I've had, plus fish pie which looked very nice. We also had dessert of raspberry roulade and... More

Three of us called in for early dinner around 6.30pm one Sunday night just before it got busy. It's got a great ambience, friendly and helpful staff and a real cosy bistro atmosphere. The menu was just that bit different and the food was well prepared, cooked to perfection and very flavoursome. When the ground floor filled up the atmosphere... More

Four of us called in for a meal on a Thursday night. Shown to our table at the front of the restaurant, menus provided and drinks order taken. Staff were very pleasant and our food order was taken after 5 or so minutes. The food and drinks were good as was the service. Very enjoyable evening. Be aware that the... More

Ate here twice while staying in Red Wharf bay. Food good and staff friendly, were turned away from The Ship as they had stopped serving food at 3pm, glad we were as we had great fish and chips at the Boat house.

We arrange to meet friend when travelling in North Wales and always meet here. The food is always good with specials that are often worth trying. Never had a bad meal and feel that we always get good value. We will visit next time we are on Anglesey.

Ate here with friends whilst in Anglesey for a few days, we've been in before for coffee and cake (beautiful cakes by the way!) but the first time we've eaten here in the evening, had an excellent evening, food excellent and a friendly and welcoming service. Lovely to sit and look out across the bay and good music in the... More

We booked for the upstairs on a Saturday evening and went for an early 6.30 slot. At that point it was quiet and we were pleasantly served. My wife asked for some changes to the vegetables with her choice of main (duck). I ordered a starter of smoked haddock, but I was amazed that it arrived within minutes as we... More
