The exterior of The Auberge looked an inviting option for dinner on a damp Thursday night. Inside the story was entirely different. A table on the approach to the bar held 3 loud and beery gents whose language was unacceptable. There were only 3 tables...More

Went to the Auberge yesterday for lunch for the first time. Our first impression was the place was a bit scruffy. However, the staff are helpful, polite and helpful. The lunch was extremely good value.

Called in here on a Wednesday evening when in the area. Reasonably quiet although I imagine that weekends would be fairly busy. Ordered from their classic menu - very good food and price plus good service from the young man behind the bar.

This place looks better from the outside than the actuality when you go in. It seems to be more of a night club than a restaurant, so at lunchtime when we went you could easily see that the decor was tired and grubby, and the...More
