Visited for lunch because everywhere was packed on market day and this was quiet. Very good and cheery waitress who appeared to be doing everything. It was sadly one of those places where they cook by numbers from food from the freezer. Vegetarian options were not available and my meat burger was reminiscent of those you bought from a freezer... Ordered two burgers, meat one was fine and tasty, the veggie one sounded nice but they didn't have it, for the same price a rubbish small shop bought veggie one turned up, they didn't have any onion rings either, so must be out of a packet? The inside was nice but just disappointed by food which sounded good!

This pub is just down the road from the local campsite and so is wonderfully placed if you don't want a basic campside meal! The welcome is very warm and the setting is lovely. The food is great (we ordered breaded mushrooms to start, followed by chicken breast stuffed with stilton and wrapped in bacon, and lasagne). With two lots... More

I stayed here for 1 night with my friend when we came to Abergavenny for the Food Festival. We were both very impressed by the size of the room and the comfortable beds and pillows. The bathroom was also great with a lovely hot and powerful shower. Breakfast was not included in our deal as we paid for room only.... More

I love this place, probably because it is dog friendly even whilst you are eating but the food is so good. We live locally and it so good to see that Abergavenny has such a good selection of very good places to eat. The steaks are always cooked to perfection, juicy and tasty and I love the fish dishes. Price's... More

Sat in the bar area on a busy Friday night. I ordered a T-bone steak medium rare which was cooked to perfection (you could tear the meat off the bone with minimal effort). As far as the main goes I can't find fault, it was excellent. Nice complimentary warm bread to start, unfortunately accompanied by stuffed (hot) peppers. I really... More

We went there because the nearby Greyhound Vaults would not accommodate our greyhound! What luck, the Farmers Arm was not only dog friendly but had great food. Between us our party ordered pigeon breast with barley, a tasting platter, roast veg and goats cheese sandwich and a burger. We all loved the food and our greyhound was supplied with dog... More

The menu online is not the same menu you are presented with when you arrive which is deceiving. We had booked a table before arriving however there were dirty glasses on the table when we arrived and they were not cleaned away. Once seated we were not offered drinks when our glasses were empty. Menu option was very limited, no... More

Ate dinner with a colleague after a long day working locally. We'd found the pub via the 'near you' feature on the Tripadvisor website. It was fab! Complimentary bread and oil as a starter, a free drink for me (they don't charge for lime and soda which is brilliant, my local - the Lounge in Ramsbottom - charges £3 for... More
