Was surprised that the table one books remains yours for the whole evening. Therefore if you haven't room for dessert or you haven't finished your wine with your meal you can have it served in the interval at your reserved table. Staff were friendly and helpful. Felt there was an adequate choice of meals on offer. Tables were not placed... More

Staff very friendly and nothing to much trouble. Unfortunately the room lacked atmosphere , I would prefer dimmer lighting it felt like we were in a school canteen. Not a massive choice for "main courses" , what we had was cooked beautifully , but just not enough! Feared I may need a bag of chips on the way home (... More

Staff were friendly and efficient. Ambience is not what I would describe as bistro, more cafe. The tables in particular gave this feel. The food was reasonably priced and had decent variation. We both had wood pigeon for starters which was neither hot or cold and overall was only ok. For main we had cod loin with prawns and linguine.... More

We were very disappointed with our meal, having looked forward to the treat of theatre + meal. The menu only had, I think, 4 choices and a 'special' - and the only item we wanted was unavailable! I ended up having a totally bland veggie risotto and my friend ended up having a starter - calamari rings with a few... More

We'd booked for a pre-show dinner which was just as well as it was quite busy. As others have said the menu is limited but that was no problem as we fancied the Thai Curry and Beef Bourginon, both of which were tasty. Service was quick, friendly and efficient which is just what you want. Puds of Malvern Pudding and... More

Service excellent. Food, starter and dessert very good, main course disappointing. Rather a small portion for a man, nothing on the menu with ordinary vegetables and not a great choice, special for the night was sausage and mash! Unlikely to book again.

Pre theatre supper, the dinning room was a little on the cool side, below a comfort level and unfortunately so was the main course special Bangers and Mash, which appeared to have been pre cooked and then kept slightly warm until serving time. Dessert was excellent and also serving staff very positive and customer focused

Decided to try Scene for a pre show meal and were certainly not disappointed. Seated very promptly and ordered drinks, which arrived in a matter of minutes. Menu is a little limited but supported by a 'special' so adequate if not inspiring. We both ordered the fish and have to say both were excellent quality pieces of hake with a... More

I was eating mid week before the theatre. The restaurant is within the theatre complex which makes it very convenient for pre theatre dining. The online line reservation system was very simple to use. The menu is not large, but does contain a variety of options, including vegetarian and gluten free alternatives. The food was excellent. The staff were variable,... More

Don't be put off by the decor it does look a bit like a canteen, but the food is excellent all freshly cooked.
