Noticed 51 has closed it's doors for good. Can't say I am too surprised. It was ok but Windsor has a lot of choices when it comes to evenings out. The staff were OK and the food was passable but I do reckon a lot of microwaved food left the kitchen. Oh well maybe a new restaurant/bar will add to... More

Good location and looks ok from the outside. Inside is awful! Customers that had clearly had too much to drink were swearing, shouting, taking their tops off and making unwelcome advances to other customers (all at 7pm so very early) - bar staff did nothing. Sofa with a massive rip in and rubbish on the seat. Two bar staff unable... More

Been here on a Tuesday with friends, great atmosphere but rude staff, it was fairly busy with only two bar staff a young boy sipping on a pint while serving customers. We got served by a girl and when asked if we are paying separately she replied f** hell, continued taking our payments but at the same time texting on... More

This place used to be great! It didnt look anything special but the food was great (fish cakes n curly fries.. Mmmm). Well thats why we went again but oh my god, what happened? Menu looked empty, staff a bit meh and just the whole place looked.. Sort of left to just exist. Very sad, so we left for somewhere... More

This place is shocking!! Prime location on Windsor high street at the bottom of the town, staff are rude or left on their own the atmosphere when busy is dirty with behaviour you would expect in a dingy nightclub. It's a real shame as the place itself with a bit of a clean would be very nice. The bar is... More

Stopped off here for our Sunday dinner and wow, we were impressed. The barman was great and took our order swiftly and couldn't have been more attentive. Drinks, dinner condiments and cutlery arrived within minutes. I had the roast chicken and my husband had the roast beef and we both loved it. The roast potatoes and veg were divine and... More

"A spectacular modern, style bar & eatery, with an atmosphere to match the quality menu."51" attracts regular customers, who enjoy the original modern art, relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. Taken over by Windsor PubCo in 2002 when it was transformed from tired pub “51” has continued to prosper. Another complete makeover was carried out in 2009 with immediate success and acclaim by customers. There is the “oasis” a haven of peace set behind the bar away from the frantic hustle and bustle of the town centre shops where you can relax with anything from a cappuccino and breakfast to a glass of wine or champagne form the extensive wine list or simply a beer from the range of notable draught and bottled beers on sale. Surrounded by palm trees, covered and heated in the winter to provide the outdoor feel, it’s a real sun trap in the summer and if you want shade it’s there.Friday and Saturday night are throbbing with atmosphere, dj’s come on at 10pm until 2am and there’s live music on the last Thursday of the monthQuite simply it’s the place to be...!
