Never been to this pub and thought the sat nav had a moment as you wouldn't expect to find such a great quirky locals local in this little residential road outside Windsor town. How lucky local residents are to have such a homely pub you could easily spend all day in! Great friendly atmosphere, lovely staff, huge roasts and lovely... More

We had dinner at The Alma on a Saturday night. We made a table reservation about an hour before we went. This a local pub way off the routine path in Windsor. It is truly a local pub. The atmosphere is 5-star!! It is extremely laid back and relaxed. The Pub Dog is an every friendly Scottie. There were numerous... More

visited the Alma again this week. this pub has an amazing atmosphere and is quirky with its vintage style theme. Found out you can actually buy the ornaments and wall hangings. Result. Food again was amazing. Had a good laugh with Sophie the chatty bar maid.

5 of us went to the Alma today for their Sunday roast, and all enjoyed it. The staff are welcoming and very, very helpful - nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The roasts...well, huge portions in the large size and very tasty food, crispy and crunchy roast potatoes - which is the deal-breaker of a roast! Will definitely be... More

Food arrived in batches. Roast dinners just ok, for some reason 4 Yorkshire puds on each one, way too many. Lamb was fatty although apparently the beef was better. The chairs are all falling apart, many have holes in them. The tables too aren't stable. This is obviously a local pub and popular with families but the food isn't brilliant.

Hi Gill O, Wow, not really sure what to say, people love the rustic feel to the pub usually - sorry you didn't. In terms of the Yorkshire puddings, we are very well known for our large portions, so thats the reason. Again my apologies you didnt enjoy your trip to the Alma, any other feedback please don't hesitate to... More

The Alma is an old fashioned pub with a limited menu. The food is good but the atmosphere is very good. You can get good chilli and a number of burgers etc and some light bites.(We havn't been for sunday lunch). If you are in Windsor it is a good food and drinking pub to visit.

You'll find The Alma just 5 minutes walk from Windsor town centre tucked away on a charming Victorian red brick terraced lined street. We are a traditional English pub serving a range of beers, ales, fine wines and great food....The size of our portions are legendary. We also have the largest beer garden in Windsor, great for those hot summer days and evenings, should we see them! We are conveniently located for Heathrow, the M4 and the M25. The Alma is full of antiques and collectable's including: furniture, paintings, pictures, mirrors, ceramics and interesting knick-knacks We also have a collection of rare film posters and are constantly adding interesting and unusual items to The Alma. It's like pubs used to be and, in our opinion, should be.
