Nice food in a brilliant location right by the museum and cathedral in that wonderful cathedral close which is bursting with great architecture.

Apparently wrongfully assuming that 'crusty bread' wouldn't have whole nuts is incredibly rude according to the chef. Where as the expected response would be for him to just replace the bread and that's that. He continually pointed to the menu saying 'check allergens' returning to...More

After visiting the amazing cathedral I had lunch here. Not bad but not better than average. And THEY PUT ICE IN THE VOUVRAY. The wine was good and I recommend to that a glass. No perhaps take a bottle to control ICE addition. View on...More

Many thanks for your review. I categorically deny that we 'PUT ICE IN THE VOUVRAY', in fact we do not put ice in any of our drinks unless specifically requested to do so. We put ice in jugs of water alone. I take this allegation...More

Lovely tea room. Fascinated by the choice of decor. Had lunch here after visiting the cathedral. Staff friendly. Service a little slow but that didn't bother us as we weren't in a hurry. Food was lovely. Would visit again.

I was with my lady friend, we attended high mass at the cathedral. Then walked across the lawn to Bernieres to look for a sandwich. They were willing to oblige, but in looking around the tables, people from the mass were having lunch. We changed...More

A delightful café/restaurant in the shadow of Salisbury Cathedral. Charming and friendly staff and a good menu. Be aware though that only cheques or cash are accepted, which seems very strange in modern times. Who carries a cheque book around with them?!

Description
Small family owned and run tearooms offering morning coffee, light and main lunches and afternoon teas in the summer. Situated next to the military museum in Salisbury's Cathedral Close. Outside seating in summer. Sunday lunches require reservations and our cream teas are exceptional. Voted one of the best value establishments in the UK by Olive Magazine a few years ago.
