Lovely family atmosphere, staff eager to please. Vast menu, it was so hard to choose. Very reasonably priced, good quality.

Stopped here on our 4 hour road trip- what a refreshing break. The lake is further away than expected and there were no rainbows! Luckily the burgers were great and they were generous with their portions particularly the cheese. Not cheap but you get what you pay for.

Found this place on tripadvisor when looking for somewhere to eat after a visit to the Langford Lakes nature reserve. The positive comments left by others held true. Not a posh place at all but holding no pretence to be more than a pub with good food it truly does well. Everyone was happy with the choices including fussy children... More

Lunch 11th April. A wide range of interesting beers, unfortunately I was driving. The view from the conservatory is lovely, there is an outdoor area when the weather is kinder. The menu, which changes monthly, was excellent, so many things I would have loved to have tried. Settled for the crab salad which was delicious. This pub is very near... More

My son and I always try and stop here on the way back from Bath in the summer time. Always lovely to sit out on the balcony. Views are really nice of the lake and surrounding hills. You can here all the ducks and Geese chatting away on the lake. My son always goes for the battered fish as he... More

We visited this pub following previous trip advisor reviews and we were not disappointed. We received a very warm welcome and the pub is very spacious. The menu had a good selection to chose from, all our 3 courses were very good and big servings. I would highly recommend this pub and we will definitely be visiting again.

We came here upon recommendation from our bnb hosts (The Old Post House) and could not have been more satisfied. The restaurant is unassuming, but once inside you feel the atmosphere of the staff and homely decor. The food was just delicious! We had eyed up the fish and chips being served to the table next to us, but sadly... More

Found this pub in the way back from Salisbury hospital. Lovely location and staff are very friendly and helpful . Had the cheeseburger and ham egg and chips for lunch. The ham egg and chips was beautiful - the burger not so much. Was pink in the middle and tasted off, mentioned it to the waitress who advised me they... More

Calling into rainbow after a hospital appointment, we were rather early for dinner. But the bar person was so friendly and went out of her way to oblige us. We had lasange chips and salad which was not on the day menu. It was very nice. Luvly views. The landlord came over for a chat and asked how everything was.... More

I'm sorry to say that we were served the worst Sunday roast we've ever had! It was very disappointing as we had read some good reviews and were looking forward to a good meal after a long walk in the morning. You couldn't tell the difference between the grey meat in the trio of roasts (chicken, lamb and beef), the... More
