Sorry but nothing good about this place, Went in for a quick snack, Thought the food was awful, As was the coffee and worst of all the service, a total disinterest in the customer and more about chatting amongst themselves. Sadly won't be going back

Shame that for such a beautiful location the speed of service and the food quality is so poor. Appreciate that it was a busy Saturday but over an hour between order and having our food is not good. The food ordered wasn't complicated so not sure why it would take so long to arrange on a plate. Half of the... More

Hello, I would like to apologize for the long wait you had for your food. Unfortunately on the Saturday we were short staffed due to staff members going away over the Easter period, however i know this is no excuse. Thank you for your feedback, I genuinely appreciate it and if you have anything further you would like to discuss,... More

Tables were absolutely Filthy, chewing gum under tables and sticky on top. I had to go get blue roll myself so I could render the table fit for purpose. Coffee was okay.

Hello, Sorry for you unpleasant experience in our cafe. We are awaiting for the tables to be re-varnished as now our sanitizer is reacting with the wood of the tables leaving it having a 'sticky' feel. Thank you for your understanding. More

Salisbury is famous as a medieval city and this building proves it. Now "The Boston Tea Party" coffee shop and restaurant you will be amazed at the history contained within its four walls. Excellent refreshments and service and situated right in the high street make this a must to visit

Took family here for lunch as there's such a nice atmosphere and the building is amazing. The staff are all friendly but we were disappointed with lunch. In particular the ham and cheese toasted sandwich ordered wasn't really toasted, there was no cheese on half of it and it wasn't melted. Not at all what was expected. The waitress offered... More

Thank you for taking the time to leave us some feedback. Very disappointing hear about your toastie, this certainly isn't our usual standard. We have a new chef who is under training for prepping, will be discussing with him to make sure he fully understands our specs that we use to make sure that all our food is at a... More

We ordered their Eggs Benedict and Eggs Florentine. Both were very disappointing, because the main component - the eggs - were too well done. The egg yolk is supposed to be runny for poached eggs, but ours were almost totally solid. Service was quite good though, but I obviously wouldn't come here just for the service.

Firstly i would like to apologize for the standard of your food, I can promise you that this is not our normal standard. We have fairly new chef team who are in training for product standards and timings in your busy kitchen. However i completely understand that this is not acceptable and i apologize. Any other further questions you have... More

Came here on a whim, following Easter service at Salisbury cathedral. We're not local and didn't know what to expect, but it was very nice. A great menu of tasty and healthy food and a nice space with comfortable seating - ideal for smaller and larger groups.

We stopped off here for coffee on a day out to Salisbury. The building is full of character and many centuries old and although it was quiet on our visit I can imagine that it has bags of atmosphere when busy. Definitely one to add to my list!

I have heard great things here but I went at a busy time about 3pm on a weekend and was waiting for 20 minutes for tea and cake. I wasn't bothered as I was having a slow day but other could find this annoying. Both tea and cake were excellent and the great hall is worth the wait.

Thank you for taking the time to write us a lovely review. I apologise for the wait on your tea and cake. Over the weekend you visited us unfortunately we were very tight for staff due to sickness. So glad you like our specially picked teas and homemade cakes and hope you visit us again very soon! More

Description
Boston Tea Party is a small family owned independent café group serving simple well-prepared food & drinks made with great ingredients, skill and love. Ethically sourced, affordable, feel-good & excellent quality - made from scratch onsite everyday by people who care about what they do. BTP Salisbury opened in one of Salisbury’s most historic buildings, the Old George Inn which dates back to 1314. It would be hard to overstate the historical significance & pedigree of this Grade 1 listed building. William Shakespeare is believed to have performed one of his plays in its courtyard, Oliver Cromwell slept here on his way to join the army, Samuel Pepys wrote about the Inn in his diary after a stay & both H G Wells & Charles Dickens made mentioned of it in their writings.
