Visited here especially after searching on Trip Advisor for places that cater for vegans (step-daughter!). Glad we found Greengages. A lot of choice for her, and those of us who do eat meat and dairy. Long wait for food as clearly made to order, however worth the wait. Food very nice and good sized portions. Will come back, even without... More

We came here just for an afternoon coffee stop. It was excellent coffee, well worth the visit! Service was very friendly.

Greengages is an unexpected pleasure tucked away on Catherine Street. It looks like a tea shop but is in fact a really lovely cafe with a varied, delicious menu and polite and efficient service. We had the fish goujons from the lighter menu which were perfect for my 89-year old grandmother and the make-your-own super salad where one chooses from... More

I came here for lunch with friends I hadn't seen in a while and was very impressed with the place! The atmosphere was very friendly and the staff could not have been more helpful, particularly as I myself am a vegan with several allergies so often find it hard to go out for meals. I hate being the fuss-pot but... More

My son and I met up with my pregnant sister, her husband and their son. We are normally 250 miles apart so they had checked tripadvisor and chosen this establishment as it appeared to have good reviews and met their style of catering. However, the food was lack lustre, not particularly exciting or well presented. In addition, my sister had... More

Visited for lunch. Avacado on salad was black, slimy and bitter. Replacement sent was also black. When complained I was told it was 'fresh in' and they would eat it. I take it they would serve any rotting veg if it was 'fresh'. No apology, and the owner walked away as I said we weren't happy to pay for the... More

Went in late afternoon. My wife ordered a sandwich and a coffe and I ordered tea and some cake. My wife's sandwich came but my cake was fogotten. We reminded the waitress who said she would get but she disappeared and we had to remind her again. Cake came but no apology. Not sure if we would go there again... More

We found Greengages on Tripadvisor. I'm gluten free and It did not disappoint! Its definitely worth a stop! We had burgers and they came with a spicy tomato ketchup, small green salad and slaw. Everything was tasty. We bought a gluten free brownie to go and enjoyed that later!

I ordered a cappuccino to-go at this cafe and the size was very tiny - maybe a few sips. There was also something off about the flavor. I was looking forward to visiting this cafe based on the reviews, but was disappointed.
