Afternoon tea for £13 each is super value, the decor and seating really suit a few hours sat chatting over tea and sandwiches. The sandwiches are in mini brioche buns, lovely and soft with a good choice of fillings, Browns happily changed our fillings to suit. The scones were the only disappointment, maybe they were not fresh as they were... More

Recently visited Browns Bar and Brasserie in Leeds for a meal before attending and event at First Direct Arena. We all chose the set menu as the menu read well and time was a factor. The majority had fishcakes and then either Shepard's pie or the Chicken sandwich. The food was tasty and plentiful and brought out in good time... More

I used to love Browns but it's now abysmal. The bar staff are clueless students who've clearly had no training, the new decor is shocking, the food is bland and cold and they add an unadvertised 10% 'service charge' to your whole bill - including when you go for drinks only? How to turn a classy popular place into the... More

Hello, I visited yesterday with my partner for her 30th birthday, but I was dissapointed with the service. I didn't complain at the time as did not want to cause a scene on her birthday. We arrived around 5pm and it was very quiet. I approached a waitress and asked if we could sit anywhere, she then directed us to... More

We visited for our anniversary. The starter was disgusting, the main was fairly decent but I definitely wouldn't go back to eat. It's very loud and busy and full of older people drinking.

Good Evening Kayla Thank you for taking the time to leave browns your feedback on your visit. I am sorry to read the starter wasn't to your tastes, at weekends the bar and restaurant can get quite busy, we tend to be quieter during the week if you'd like to give us another try. My husband and I visited Browns on Saturday, I had my usual Bellini on arrival, delicious as ever. We then had a fabulous lunch can recommend the scallops and lamb croquettes starter from the seasonal menu. Keith had the white onion soup - warning this is delicious but best for those with hearty appetites especially if you are planning on... More

Following a family celebration early in the day we booked Browns for breakfast / brunch. Visited on Sunday late morning for breakfast/brunch. Hubby had the Eggs Royale and I had the traditional breakfast, both were quick to arrive and tasty. Prices are very reasonable but the ambiance and the way the staff are dressed is very up market. Recommended.

On arrival we were a little early but our table was ready so we were seated - however we had to ask for the wine list and the service was extremely slow - we had to find a waiter to take or order after 30 minutes. The food was very good in my opinion there should've been vegetables on the... More
