Family visit but not inspiring i'm afraid. Food was basic and still very slow to arrive restaurant was quiet and by no means busy. Appeared to be short staffed. Dined on a voucher and semed to be over charged on a few basic sundries as well. Not recommended.

Been here before, we always come back to this one. Food always great and service has improved since our last few visits here. We were stuffed after our food which was all really tasty. Only critism is that the seats in the booths could do with an update, some are a bit ripped. Apart from that would recommend.

I am a regular customer here, both having eaten at the restaurant and gotten takeaway. The staff is friendly and professional, and the food is consistently good. They are also open to special requests for dishes which aren't necessarily on the menu, which is helpful if you are vegetarian / vegan. Would highly recommend!

We ordered a tikka masala and karai from this restaurant. The karai was great and the chicken was lovely and tender, would definitely recommend. The masala however was watery and had the consistency and taste of a tin of bland soup. The delivery took an hour and 40 minutes also, and I wish I could say that it was worth... More

Not too spicey and lacking a bit in flavour. Interesting pickle tray though (what is that red stuff?) Really great staff

Vile, asked for vegan dishes was reassured 3 times that the food was cooked in vegetable oil, to then find meat in the veg biriyahni that we order! Along with the poo pipe still in the prawns that my friend ordered. We came as I was bought a groupon vouchers for my birthday and used it on this occasion. When... More

Situated on the rather swish York Place, close to Leeds mainline railway station, Miah’s Place is an Indian restaurant with a wow factor. Right from the outset you really know that you’re in for something special – the restaurant is set within one of the old red brick buildings, behind wrought iron low fencing, its subtle signage indicating that Miah’s Kitchen, a small scale chain making waves throughout Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, is perhaps a little more special than your average Indian eatery. Through the portico-ed front door you’ll enter a stylish dining room furnished in an unusual Art Deco inspired style, with ball topped lamps, sensuous lines and low slung leather seating, all in low key tones. Miah’s Kitchen offers an extensive menu of old Indian favourites, ranging from tandoori dishes to biryanis and baltis as well as a good collection of specialties created especially for the restaurant, using contemporary and traditional techniques. Surprisingly affordable, Miah’s Kitchen provides an upmarket take on Indian dining without the price tag.
