we visited mid afternoon on Good Friday and got the impression that we were almost too much bother ! The food was almost thrown at us without a smile or any great recognition or customer service. The place was cold and is basically a dump. in addition the portions were small and the final decider for me never to visit... More

We had seen the Rick Stein food heroes programme so planned to visit one day. It was quiet on a midweek lunch time but the food came quickly an in generous portions. So much so I couldn't cope with my main after sharing a mixed starter.

The good people of Yorkshire get straight to the point and do not waste their words so neither will I in reviewing this place.........abrupt, discourteous staff serving very basic, badly prepared food.......do not waste your time or money on this establishment....

I love the Karachi. My grandad used to come here, then my dad (now sadly on a diet), and now I'm exiled in Bristol but visit with my boyfriend whenever possible. I don't think they've realised I've moved away, because they always ask where I've been, which is quite funny and also sweet of them to recognise me. Some of... More

First of all this is a Cash Only restaurant secondly it's my first and last visit to the Karachi restaurant my shami kebab was raw in the middle which is totally unacceptable the service was very slow to say the least and still living off the visit from celebrity chef Rick Stein over 15 years ago we will never return

I was disappointed to say the least! Pilau rice was rice with a few peas thrown in and ive lived married to a bangladeshi master of cooking all food and trust me pilau rice is way more than that! I had chicken curry and it had no spices at all save curry powder and chilli I mean how much do... More

Having wanted to visit Karachi for a while, due to its long term reputation, we finally got there after going to the cinema. Overall it was perfectly ok. We took a selection of mixed starters and kebabs and samosas. Food was cooked fresh, and tasted good. I wouldn't say it was outstanding. Added to this the staff were efficient but... More

Disgusting would be a complement. Fatty, old chicken with what must be a cheap version of uncle Ben's sauce. This is not authentic Asian cuisine, it's slop on a plate served to disillusioned English people who have been going there for far too long to know any better. What a shame. There's far superior restaurants over the road and for... More

Not that good, overall it was just an OK curry, with dismissive and grunted service. Just not worth writing home about, and I definitely won't become an avid fan like some of the exuberant previous reviews. Chicken & Spinach Karahi was indeed freshly cooked, with a simple cooking style, without the ghee loaded gloop style of mass-produced '1 sauce for... More

Had friends from London visiting for the Bradford vs Millwall match so afterwards we decided to head for a curry and this place was recommended to us by a local. It was the biggest mistake we have made - I feel embarrassed that our friends have seen this place as a representation of a northern curry house. Firstly, it looks... More
