Just had a wonderful family meal to celebrate mums birthday. Staff very attentive and quality food. Very generous food portions and well presented. Chicken and rib combo for my husband and the homemade lamb suet pudding for me. Both cooked to perfection Homemade desserts delicious....The best ever strawberry cheesecake and Creme brûlée Highly recommendMore

Gorgeous family meal in a welcoming friendly pub restaurant. Great varied menu with something to suit everyone. Our party had fresh Salmon, Battered Haddock, Chicken & Ribs and Sweet & Sour Chicken and everything was beautiful - highly recommend

Partner had the Roast dinner which she said was great but I personally had the Chicken & Rib combo the chicken was not tasty when I stuck my fork in water came out. Then the ribs well less said about the Ribs the better they...were just pure fat on the 3, I received. The chef must of thought it was a good idea to over cook them so they could taste better and because that failed just put a ton of sauce on them to disguise the rubber taste. On asking to see the chef the young girl not her fault just said he’s unavailable and it’s what the supplier sends right so that’s not my problem. When complained at the bar same response it must be a common thing with the standard reaction so thanks Eileen you’re customer Service if not low previously is in the gutter now. Simple lesson if you’re supplier is not performing don’t serve the food and get a new one just like you would if you was dealing with anything in life. If the chef can’t be bothered dealing with customer complaints then what’s he doing besides making poor quality food. Seriously not normally one to complain or write a review but this was totally unacceptable.More

Visited on last Saturday 14th. This review would not have been made on here had they bothered to respond to my comment to the chef via our waitress. Three main meals included chicken, 2 with ribs the other a breaded chicken burger. All were overcooked...and were tough to chew. Service was good. Will not visit again.More

Very impressed that when I rang to book a table for 2 I was immediately asked if we were either 1 household or support bubble (we're a support bubble). When we arrived we were greeted just inside door and immediately taken to our table which...was a very safe distance from other tables. Food arrived very quickly, my Salmon with prawn hollandaise sauce was cooked to perfection with plentiful vegetables and my partner, who has a big appetite, was very happy with his Chicken Roast Dinner. Felt very safe here, separate entrance and exit doors clearly marked, all staff wearing face masks, tables a good distance apart, we felt sorry for the young staff member laboriously wiping each page of the menus when they returned from the tables. We look forward to returning.More

We had 2 starters and 2 main meals, which were all excellent and very tasty. Very Covid secure and felt safe at all times. Why not a 5 star review? 2 reasons: No vegetarian curry available as they had run out and that was what...the missus fancied, which was disappointing. The Landlords beer was advertised as being at half price ( and it was nice), but I noticed after paying that only the first pint had been charged at half price and the second one at full price, which again was disappointing and as we were leaving at the time I just halved the tip, which was probably unfair on the waiters but as a Yorkshire man felt the right thing to do. Would we go again, yes definitely but we would pay a bit more attention...More

Great covid preparation in place. In/out system , hand sanitizer and table service. I normally have the meal deal but decided to order from the full menu which is vast. I had Fish and chips and my son had a burger. The portions were tasty...and generous. We arrived for an early lunch and sat at our booked table.More
